Permanent Life Insurance Plan

Employers like to offer additional coverages that are permanent to the employee. As employers, keeping and retaining good employees is a key factor; however, also allowing employees the ability to purchase a life product where rates are designed to stay level during the life of the product should be important as well. Most financial planners agree that a well rounded portfolio includes at least some permanent life insurance.

Universal Life polices are designed for premiums and death benefit to remain level. They do not change as employees get older. When they retire or terminate employment, they simply pay the same premium rate direct to the carrier rather than on payroll deductions from the employer.

Term Life insurance polices are designed for premiums to remain the same during the "term" of the policy. Term insurance is contracted in 5-10 or 15 year increments. The rates will increase on renewal, based on the age at which the policy is renewed.
